Introducing the Shoes
Habits of living, stereotyping, attention robbing, obfuscation, and busyness encourage us to take for granted so much of our lives. Daily opportunities to experience joy, wonder, satisfaction, and appreciation go unnoticed. Injustices that should and could be remedied perpetuate their known and unknown costs enabled by dominant discourses and neglect.
A deliberate and mindful context must be established and made known to everyone attending a Walk Event. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® leverages the power of stereotype and the "taken for granted" into powerful experiences that can startle given the "simplicity" of these actions.
One way of playfully contextualizing the existential experience of walking in women's high-heeled shoes for men can be How to Walk in Heels.
