Organize a Men's March in Your Community
There is no fee for a license to organize a Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Walk, but you do have to sign an agreement and adhere to certain requirements designed to maintain the integrity of The Walk and to insure that the local Walk beneficary will be a rape crisis center, domestic violence shelter or sexualized violence prevention education program. By registering, we can also list you in our Calendar, post photos of your Walk and track the worldwide momentum of Walk a Milei in Her Shoes®.
We encourage organizations worldwide to organize your own Walk. We want the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® experience to benefit communities everywhere. Put Yourself in Her Shoes™!
You can organize a small Walk or a large Walk. Some Walks are organized as a classroom experience, some as a campus-wide event, and many are community-wide events. There is no limit on the size of the event.
YOU MUST OBTAIN A NEW AUTHORIZATION EACH YEAR. If you are authorized to organize a Walk, it is valid for one year only and for the specified date. To organize again, you must again submit an Organizer's Agreement and receive an Authorization Letter for that year.
We will avoid having competing events in the same community. While we want the message to reach as many as possible, we recognize that some organizations are investing in this fundraiser and we want them to be able to develop the Walk as their local brand, to maintain connections with business and organizations donating to support their Walk and their ongoing services. If a new organization wants to Walk in a territory that already has an existing Walk, we will ask these new interested groups to join forces with the already authorized Walk.
Once you have submitted the signed agreement, and have been confirmed as a community organizer, you will receive an authorization letter and be listed in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Calendar. You can then Put Yourself in Her Shoes™!
